Black Pinups (Magazine) Returns!
Yes you read the title right! Black Pinups magazine returns!
After giving it much thought I have decided to not end my magazine, one of the reasons was due to hateful peasants that bashed me and my brand. I couldn't give them them the satisfaction of watching me fail. And to think of why I created this magazine to begin with, why I created my brand; a haven for women of color to be their vintage authentic selves. There are no other black pinup magazine or brand out there. There have been copy cats but they closed up shop and have gone out of business, the demands of running a magazine and a brand are not for the light at heart or those wanting to compete out of spite. It's a business and it is to be taken seriously and I'm a business woman, my mother is a business woman, my grandmother was as well. I go to seminars, classes and ask for business advice. This isn't for fun this is serious, so when I had first made the announcement of quitting the magazine it was after frustration and sadness of not promoting it and marketing and really giving it my all. I will be revamping my magazine and have writers for each issue. Black Pinups will be released quarterly as opposed to bi-monthly.
So here is a sneak peek of the cover, with me gracing the cover. I want to talk more than just pinup and talk about serious issues in addition to keeping the vintage aesthetic with beautiful black pinups. So stay tuned and follow me on Instagram at blackpinupsmagazine for daily posts and updates.
